If you can’t remember your password, follow these instructions to reset your password.


Occasionally, we hear from members who report that the sign-in page is loading incompletely—they see a spinning wheel or get an error message. This is usually a browser-related problem. Try temporarily turning off any extensions or ad blockers you may have installed, or try a different browser.


If you are using software to block ads, please make sure to allow the following domains, which are services we use for authentication and consent management: tinypass.com, onetrust.com.


If you created your account using your Facebook, Yahoo, Google, or Twitter account, make sure to click the appropriate button to log in.


If you’re using Slate’s iOS or iPad app, please check back soon. Some users are experiencing a temporary issue with the app sign in. In the meantime you can continue accessing your membership through the website or in your favorite podcast player.


If you are receiving the error "Failed to Complete Operation" when signing into the Slate app typically means you entered the wrong password. Click the Forgot your Password button to continue.
